General observations

NoTe: I spent nearly all day walking around in town today, checking out flats and whatnot and browsing different shopping centres. Yes, I also think I may have been infected by the Singaporean mutating virus which turns every foreigner into a pseudo Singaporean. PR? That’s the official way to confirm that you’re now a branded shopaholic who operates out of your cell smartphone.

So these are my interesting snippets for today.

1. I walked past the equivalent of local bakeries here named Breadtalk and maybe its just me but I’m pretty sure that freshly baked bread never smelt that strongly of yeast before. Maybe my nose is faulty.

2. There was a God of Wealth costume-clad (not sure how the characters are written in Chinese just because I’m a bloody banana) dude at the Toa Payoh shopping centre today and he was playing with this little kid. The overgrown mustache is creepy and he looked positively paedophilic. Can someone be positively paedophilic? Well…maybe not. But you get the general idea…

3. Because the entire world and their domesticated animals are concerned about me due to the Higher Authorities being concerned about my welfare, I have now changed my phone greeting from “Hello?” to “Good [insert time of day here], [insert my real name here] speaking” because I get all these really random numbers that ring with me not knowing who on earth they are and they’ll usually spend the first minute convincing me that they aren’t some scheming twit who wants to relinquish my grip on my millions (Haha!) and because a “Hello” usually isn’t quite enough to identify myself with these people. I’m thinking that the more formal phone greeting is part and parcel of business training when I do conduct multi-million dollar business deals by phone. Hey, a guy can dream, right?

4. My knee is playing up again. My knee, which has long troubled me from a previous dance injury in 2008, is giving me slight grief whenever I stand or when I walk. I hope it doesn’t flare up any worse than this. This whole knee thing deserves a blog post of its own, methinks.

5. I’ve got too many pictures in my phone, of different things that I thought were quite interesting but I, being the absent minded professor that I am, decided NOT to bring my phone cable from NZ. I’ll upload when I get the chance. Plus, the photos that everyone has been waiting for….the Bachelor Pad! =)

Hold your breath…it’ll come soon, I promise.

  2. Hahah, it's only a week til you get your cable!! (unless you have absolutely no patience and want to buy a new one before that).
And as for the knee Mr.Physio, although you maybe not be able to diagnose it yourself, maybe you should actually get some physio work done?? :P
