Fitness Enthusiast 4.0

So I'm back.

After finishing up the dance championships and barely fitting into my dance outfit coming back from a good week or so away eating wayy too much, I crashed and rather badly physically. Got the worst case of the flu that I've had in a while and then after that, still had to go to work and whatnot. Decided to be sensible and after the Higher Authorities and everyone else besides asked me to go and get my sick ass over the nearest GP clinic, I did.

There, a locum doctor who looked about my age asked me a few cursory questions, whether I had trouble bringing phlegm up and was I struggling to breathe. Of course...duh. I have a cold.

Anyway, moving on, I got my requisite dose of medication and where I got knocked out by a simple decongestant (maybe I'm not used to taking antihistamines anymore but woah. That stuff was strong!) and pretty much conked out afternoon after afternoon but after that, I'm slowly coming right. I'm taking my antibiotics and then I'm nearly done for this session. I'm hoping that I won't fall sick again.

Thinking back though, it was a pretty intense 66 days leading up to the champs. And as much as I came back late at night post dance practices and had dedicated workout sessions pretty much every single day, it was all in good fun and to be honest, I didn't mind it a bit. Although, if I was to do it again, I probably would have rested a bit more. Just to be sensible, mind.

After the comps, I was wondering if there was any real reason to continue exercising. Mind you, this wasn't the hardest I've done in the past. When I was practicing for my first ever choreography, I was in the gym 4 times a week, lifting heavy. Yes, yes, I know, my training methods current are very different compared to then but still. I put on like an amazing 5 kgs of pretty much pure muscle back then and I loved it. Though I pretty much lost it straight away after the comps just because I got lazy. Heh.

So my main aim at the moment? Main motivation? To hit 25 pullups, and get in the best shape of my life. I'd like to see a six-pack for ONCE rather than just the first two and then be able to show it off nice and proud when I go on holiday.

Yup. That's my plan.

So yes...workout for today. Took it light and easy, especially because in my books, I'm STILL recovering from the flu. Tis a bad one, you know. Hee.

4 rounds

5 pullups
8 dips
10 inverted rows
12 incline diamond pushups

Worked up a nice sweat, looking for more out of me tomorrow.
