Studying...

...again?

Got an email from the Otago Alumni asking me for my interests in pursuing a postgraduate study programme...involving things such as long distance learning, whether to go for a postgraduate certificate or a diploma or (shock, horror!) a Masters.

Don't know what's going on in my brain at the moment but I even decided to look at some of the courses available and considered (very briefly, I might add) if I wanted to get back into studying again.

Its also probably due to the fact that I'm continually being pushed from everyone around me to study some more. The Higher Authorities are definitely not hiding their intentions for me to go and pursue some  higher degree of physiotherapy and they are favouring the more scarily technical (and probably more respecting) neurorehabilitation or cardiopulmonary physiotherapy courses. My colleague who's going to be my ex-colleague in about 2 weeks is currently studying and he's saying that I should give it a go. Had one of my colleague's patient yesterday telling me to go and look into hospital management or a business management/administration course to improve my skills and try and get into the management business.

But as usual, I'm not sure what I want.

A temporary flirtation with studying sounds interesting but really, do I want to submit myself to cold Dunny winters, long assignments, freezing fingers, living the "student life" again whilst working full/part-time in good ole' Dunners? I'm really past all that at the moment and plus, I'm also really enjoying the heat that Merlion City and this part of the equator can provide. And besides, I like the financial boosts that only you can get from working. But do I want to juggle both work and study at the same time? Am I that interested in physio? I mean, its a job...and there are good moments when I see patients improving or as Dory said, interesting patients that I can blog about. Hahah...even patients are blog fodder. Bluerk.

Although I'm still willing to bury a knife in someone's back for mmmmmm. Fish and Chips.

A lot of thinking has to go into this before I even carry it out. But for now, I think I'm quite happy not to hit the books again.
