First off, about 2 weeks ago now, I contracted a rather nasty bout of gastroenteritis leading me to stay chained (nearly literally, I might add) to a toilet bowl. It didn't help that the other end also felt like unloading. There's an old Malay phrase that goes along the lines of, "Diluah mati emak, ditelan mati bapa."All that said, it basically means that I'm stuck between a rock and a hard place.
There was quite a bit of speculation about what on earth led to my sudden gastrointestinal purges. The Higher Authorities claimed fly eggs on food that could lead to pretty bad bouts of stomach upheavals to food poisoning. My suspicions lie a bit closer to home (again, literally.) The Girlfriend had just finished a bout of V&D (as we used to like saying in hospitals) but what didn't help was that we had Korean BBQ buffet the afternoon before I decided to make the porcelain throne my best friend. I ended up being incredibly gassy, afraid to fart because I wasn't sure I would end up sharting, and burping Korean flavours and completely putting the Girlfriend off Korean food for a while. It was the food equivalent of the Nagasaki bomb, I swear. I lovingly termed it the "Bulgogi Burp." Lethal, lethal stuff.
Now that I've put you all in the most disgusted frame of mind, please feel free to take a break and then come back to read the rest of the non-grossing out blog post. I promise. It ain't gross now.
After the stomach cooled off a little, the colleagues, the Girlfriend and I decided to pay a visit to the land of Indomie. They still make it and sell it there, even after all the reports of it having cosmetics flooded Facebook. Bugger. I had 3 packets and could still go for more. If only I had my fried eggs...but anyway. Good fun, I drank too much red wine for my own good (although it was definitely a lot more wine than I would usually drink in an evening and slammed down two beers as well.) and then woke up with a mild hangover. Awesome. Plus, Circle of Death has never been more fun.
I'm back and at the moment, I'm still settling into the new life. The Girlfriend is down for good now and we've slipped into lifestyle where we're both fairly comfortable in each other's presence and have yet to start choking each other to death. Ah. Domestic bliss indeed.
What we did do together (heh. Never mind) was head off to Indomie Land which was a nice little vacation together. We'd always talk about heading overseas for a trip and after all, its nice when we both fly on the same plane rather than one of us being left at the immigration counter as the other one goes through. I mean, who'd think the first place we would head to would be Indomie Land, right? But its worth it. Had a lot of fun and my colleagues think she's amazing.

See.
Talking about being BRB, I can't even finish this post in one sitting. I'm only finishing it off in the early hours of Wednesday morning.
Bit of good news though. I've found a place to move into so I'll start the moving house soon enough. And then yeah...we'll see how things go.
