Geek out.
As you can probably tell, I've been a bit busy.
Ever since I started my first blog in 2005, I have always wanted a very simple layout. Alas, the intricacies of HTML and everything else besides got in the way and I never ventured to find something that would suit this blog template.
And finally, after getting really bored at work and deciding to do something serious about it, I caved.
Spending a good chuck of my time in between seeing patients, filling out inventory forms, typing doctor reports, and trying to sell $4000 shoes, I managed to hit enough HTML tutorial lists, played around with WebKit, muck around on GIMP to come up with the above background picture, and tear enough strands of hair just to make sure that everything falls into place.
And oh, I'm not a CSS expert but CSS is a %^&*## to deal with. Good times.
And holy crap, it is comforting when you get to a stage where you finish the code and you refresh the page and everything works like bloody magic.
It is still in the initial stages, though. I haven't worked out where I want my links to go just yet, I have yet to figure out how to make this page play nice on other browsers apart from Chrome and Safari, and having custom loaded fonts is a pain in the proverbial when other browsers don't want to play nice again.
What will be cool, though, is when it does replace my current template. (Guess I am way more of a geek than I initially thought, huh.
In other news, fasting is working (I think) on my weightloss. 2kg to date and this still includes me stuffing my face with a huge good ole breakfast, chocolate pancakes 2 hours later, and then meatballs and chicken wings for dinner shortly after that. Good heavens, if only I had discovered fasting sooner...
And oh yeah. Bought a 2.274kg tub of protein powder that I am drinking religiously on a daily basis...lets see how long I take to finish it because the flavour is definitely something that can be improved on and I'm wanting to try out the double chocolate flavour. Hm.
Yay! Home time!
